Our Most Brilliant Friends

In 2016, Sheffield band Slow Club embarked on what turned out to be a final tour before the duo decided to pursue their solo projects. I went to the sold out show at London's Union Chapel which brought the tour to close. Unknowingly, their close friend and film maker Piers Dennis was in attendance and had been throughout the duration of the tour. The resulting documentary is due to debut at the Doc 'N Roll Film Festival in London on 1st November. From what I've read it promises an honest and brutal portrayal of the band, showcasing sides of Charles Watson and Rebecca Lucy Taylor not seen before. I'm not sure of any wider release or if it will be made available in physical or digital form, but as a huge fan of the band, I cannot wait to see it.
